EE Faculty participate in Celebrate Princeton Invention
Professors Niraj Jha, Paul Prucnal and Jim Sturm participated in the Celebrate Princeton Invention in December. Each showcased inventions they have developed with colleagues. NATURE technologies, developed by Niraj Jha, uses an innovative “logic folding” process to improve the design and efficiency of programmable computer chips. Prof. Prucnal’s Optical radiofrequency interference cancellation system enables receivers to detect a weak signal in the presence of noise coming from a nearby sourse. The sorting device developed by James Sturm and Robert Austin (Physics) works like a microscopic pinball machine, featuring an array of ultrasmall pillars to sort tiny biological particles, such as cells and fragments of DNA.
