Mohammed Shoaib wins Qualcomm Scholarship
EE Graduate student Mohammed Shoaib has been awarded the 2011 Roberto Padovani Scholarship at Qualcomm Inc. The award citation states “Shoaib has a rare combination of both hardware and systems expertise, and is an original thinker and efficient implementer. He demonstrated remarkable aptitude for breaking down complex problems into sub-tasks and realizing workable solutions". Shoaib served as a summer intern over the last two summers at Qualcomm, and worked on ECG artifact mitigation. The scholarship is awarded each year to interns that exhibit outstanding performance on their assignments. The purpose of this award is to assist the winners with the school costs, build lasting relationships and have them join Qualcomm once they graduate. Shoaib is co-advised by Profs. Naveen Verma and Niraj Jha.
