EE mourns the passing of Prof. Bradley W. Dickinson
It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of our colleague and friend, Prof. Bradley W. Dickinson. Brad passed away Sunday, January 22nd after suffering a heart attack. Brad was born in St. Mary’s Pennsylvania, April 28, 1948 . He received the B.S. in Engineering from Case Western Reserve University in 1970 and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University in 1971 and 1974, respectively. Brad joined the Electrical Engineering department in 1974 as an Assistant Professor. In 1987 he was elected as an IEEE Fellow ‘‘for contributions to system theory and its application in signal processing.’’ From 1991 to 1994 he served as Associate Dean for Academic Affairs in the School of Engineering. Brad was an Associated Faculty Member in the Program in Applied and Computational Mathematics.
He is survived by his wife Colette Dickinson '75, his son Jim '06 and daughter Betsy.
The funeral will be at Kimble Funeral Home, 1 Hamilton Avenue in Princeton on Monday, January 30th. Visitation will be at 10am, with a funeral service at noon. Burial will be in Princeton Cemetery immediately following the funeral service.
