Grad Students win Qualcomm Innovation Fellowship
EE Grad students Mohammed Shoaib and Kyong Ho Lee won a 2011 QualComm Innovation Fellowship for “Algorithim-driven platforms for Low-Energy Intelligent Biomedical Systems”. The Qualcomm Innovation Fellowship recognizes, rewards and mentors innovative PhD students in technical research areas. The winners each receive a fellowship for the upcoming academic year. In addition, a Qualcomm researcher is assigned to mentor the winners. The is the first year the Qualcomm Innovation Fellowship was expanded to include universities on the east coast. Shoaib is co advised by Profs. Jha and Verma and Kyong’s advisor is Prof. Verma.
