Verma recepient of Helen Shipley Hunt Fund
Prof. Naveen Verma is recipient of the Helen Shipley Hunt Fund. This is an internal fund that supports practical engineering applications aimed at improving human health through applied projects. Broadly, Prof. Verma’s research investigates low-power biomedical sensing systems that can analyze physiological signals to provide clinically-valuable outputs. The applications range from closed-loop therapeutic devices to intelligent, out-patient monitoring over large-scale healthcare networks. This involves specialized devices to enable low-power realizations of machine-learning algorithms for detecting targeted disease states as well as other states of clinical importance. Through this support, the emphasis will be on translating such devices to the healthcare setting.
