Princeton’s undergraduate program in electrical engineering is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, one the most respected accreditation organizations in the United States. Accreditation ensures that certain academic programs meet established standards for engineering and technical education.
The Department has adopted the following ABET Program Educational Objectives for our graduates:

Students who successfully complete our program will have satisfied the following ABET Program Outcomes:

- An ability to design and conduct experiments as well as analyze and interpret data
- An ability to design a system component,or process to meet desired needs
- An ability to function on multi-disciplinary teams
- An ability to formulate and solve engineering problems

- An ability to communicate effectively
- The breadth necessary to understand the impact of engineering solutions in a societal context
- A recognition of the need for, and an ability to engage in, life-long learning
- A knowledge of contemporary issues
- An ability to use the techniques and tools necessary for engineering practice
