I use computational and experimental approaches to learn about genome evolution and elucidate the genetic mechanisms underlying adaptations. Historically my lab has focused on Drosophila as a model system, but more recent work explores evolutionary/ecological genetic questions using a broad range of non-model organisms (e.g. Lepidoptera, Poeciliid fish, Milkweed-feeding insects, fireflies).
