2005 M. King Hubbert Award Presented to Mary Hill
Mary Hill, a researcher at the U.S. Geological Survey, was awarded the prestigious M. King Hubbert Award at the 2005 Ground Water Expo, December 13-15, in Cobb County, Georgia. The M. King Hubbert Award is presented each year to someone who has made major science or engineering contributions to the ground water industry through ground water research, technical papers, teaching, and practical applications. Mary is an internationally recognized hydrogeologist, who has made outstanding original contributions in parameter-estimation models and procedures for model calibration. She received her Ph.D. in civil engineering in 1985 from Princeton.
