Liu receives signal processing education award
Bede Liu, a Princeton professor of electrical engineering, will received the 2008 Signal Processing Society Education Award from the IEEE, a professional organization, formally known as the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, which focuses on the advancement of technology.
The award honors educators who have made pioneering and significant contributions to signal processing education. Nominees were judged by their achievements in signal processing education as exemplified by writing of scholarly books and texts, course materials and papers on education. They are also judged on inspirational and innovative teaching and creativity in the development of new curricula and methodology.
Liu will receive the award at the and awards ceremonies held at the IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing conference in Taiwan in April 2009.
