Charles Yort ’81 is vice president at Minerva Networks
Minerva Networks, a software platform for the management and delivery of television services, has named Charles Yort vice president of marketing and strategic alliances. He will be based at Minerva’s headquarters in Alviso, California.
As a provider of carrier-class solutions for the delivery of television services over IP networks, Minerva expects expansion opportunities in the industry as technology and pay-TV evolve. Yort will lead marketing and partnering initiatives to accelerate the company’s growth worldwide.
Before joining Minerva, Yort was vice president and general manager of B2B Solutions at Plantronics, a producer of audio communication devices. Earlier in his career, Yort was at Venturi Wireless, 3Com and Hewlett-Packard. He earned his undergraduate degree in civil engineering from Princeton in 1981, followed by an MBA from Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business in 1985.
