Dr. Laura Forese '83 is chief operating officer and chief medical officer of NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center, where she oversees programs and operations for 1000 medical, surgical and psychiatric beds on two campuses.
She graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Princeton University with a degree in civil engineering, and Alpha Omega Alpha from Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons. A board-certified orthopaedic surgeon, Dr. Forese also holds a degree in health services management from Columbia University. She is a frequent speaker on management topics in medicine.
Dr. Forese is a board member and Medical Advisory Committee chair of the Matthew Larson Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation. At Princeton University, she is a Steering Committee member of the Women in Leadership Initiative and also sits on the Leadership Council of the School of Engineering and Applied Science.
