Women in Theory workshop
Responding to the need for more women in theoretical computer science, Princeton hosted a Women in Theory workshop in 2008. The workshop was coordinated by Tal Rabin, a cryptographer at IBM Research, and computer science professors Boaz Barak and Moses Charikar.
Speakers included Lisa Zhang, Bell Labs; Tal Malkin, Columbia University; Julia Chuzhoy, Toyota Technological Institute at Chicago; Joan Feigenbaum, Yale University; Tiffani Williams, Texas A&M University; Dorit Aharonov, Hebrew University; Cynthia Dwork '79, Microsoft Research; Eva Tardos, Cornell University.
Sponsors included the Committee on the Status of Women in Computing Research (CRA-W), the Toyota Technological Institute, D.E. Shaw & Co., IBM, the National Science Foundation, Microsoft, and Princeton Engineering.
