Bicycle-powered pump designed to deliver water to remote areas
Ed Weng, who graduated from Princeton in 2010 with a degree in electrical engineering, shot this footage as he and fellow students field-tested Weng's "unplugged water pump" in Kenya. Weng developed the pump, which is powered by a bamboo bicycle and was part of his senior thesis work, to provide clean drinking water to remote areas.
