Are you terrified of the term "programming?" Or perhaps you are tired of endless data analysis? Well, then join us for this introductory session to Matlab. Matlab is a great tool for numerical computation, data analysis and graphical visualization. We will start with some Matlab basics and get familiar with the Matlab lingo. Then, we will cover programming in Matlab and run through some examples of how this is useful. Finally, we will see how graphical visualization works in Matlab. Come learn the tips and tricks of Matlab and discover how this tool can enable you to be more efficient in your work.
Speaker Bio: May Jean Cheah is a graduate student in Chemical Engineering. She is a group member of the PEM Fuel Cell Research Laboratory. Her research involves both experimental and computational work. One of her major tasks is to refine the fuel cell numerical model, written using Matlab, that is in development in her lab..
