Acquiring Academic Software at Princeton
Jeanne Out

This talk will review how members of the University community can take full advantage of the Software Sales offers to obtain excellent pricing for departmental and personal purchases of software. The University is authorized to purchase from many manufacturers and can therefore pass volume discounts and site licenses on to the benefit of the community. You will also learn more about the PSR Web Store, an online site for making software purchases.

Speaker Bio:
Jeanne Out joined OIT (then CIT) in l989 to assist with the sale of computers to students through PUMPP (The Princeton University Microcomputer Purchase Plan). That effort later became the Microcomputer Distribution Center (MDC) and sold computers to students and software to faculty, staff and students. In 1998 the MDC closed, and Jeanne moved into Software Sales. Come visit her office on the first floor of the Frist Campus Center.
