Microsoft Word 2007, like its predecessors, is a versatile word processor that includes editing and web-authoring capabilities. There are many new features such as task-oriented tabs, enhanced editing and reviewing tools, and the ability to publish directly into .pdf documents. The speaker will demonstrate how to use the program to double your typing speed, to create quick tables and charts, and how to create watermarks, tables of contents, effective style sheets, and much more. Come see the new features and learn a few tips about getting started and making the most of the new Office program.

Jon will also introduce WebSpace, which all members of the University community can use to store and share their files.

Speaker Bio:
Jon Edwards graduated from Princeton in 1975 with a degree in history. He got his MA and PhD from Michigan State University in Ethiopian economic history. After a three year stint as Review Editor of Byte Magazine, he returned to Princeton in 1986 to serve as the Assistant to the VP for Computing and Information Technology. Today, he serves as the Coordinator of OIT Institutional Communications and Outreach.
