Roxana Carmen Turcanu is a freshman at Princeton University (Class of 2016). She was born in Romania, where she has lived for most of her life, except for the one year she spent as an exchange student in the United States. Being away from home motivated her to pay closer attention to transatlantic interactions and the dynamics of the EU. At Princeton, Roxana wishes to major in Economics or the Woodrow Wilson School, while still perfecting her studies on contemporary European Politics and Society. She also has an active interest in foreign languages and extensive knowledge of Romanian, English, Spanish and French. Roxana is currently an intern at The Women’s Center, a big fan of the intramural sports at Whitman College and a member of Princeton’s European Youth Parliament.
