Princeton's campus is simultaneously a site of historic significance and a constantly evolving space, a "work in progress" that is never truly completed. Projects from the 2006-2016 Campus Plan are in progress. Some have begun or continued construction, others are making their way through design and approval phases, and some were re-evaluated in light of changing economic circumstances.
Princeton has commenced a new plan that will establish a framework to guide the evolution of the campus from 2016 through 2026, and beyond. It will be prepared with the assistance of a team of consulting designers, planners, architects, engineers and analysts. To lead the campus planning effort, the University has hired Urban Strategies Inc. a Toronto-based planning firm. The campus plan will support the goals and priorities established by the University's strategic planning effort that is also underway.
