Facilities Information Technology
Facilities Information Technology (FIT) supports the Facilities department for all information technology; our responsibilities also include Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Facilities Management Systems (FMS), we develop, research and implement new applications and technology based solutions as well as maintain existing applications; we provide network and personal computer support, planning for and implementing growth in our network infrastructure; we coordinate all software and hardware purchases, configurations and installations and we maintain all Facilities web sites.

We maintain and provide space information for Facilities and the University including drawings and maps.
- Facilities Management Systems (FMS) Maximo application
We develop, maintain and support technological systems and activities related to the asset management system MAXIMO, Facilities
We offer a “Next Business Day” service level agreement for all desktop PCs in the Princeton DeSC program. Non-DeSC compliant machines will be addressed within 3 to 5 business days, due to the out-of-warranty status and fewer hardware support options
All technology related support requests placed by phone (609-258- HELP) or the web will be handled by the OIT Helpdesk and escalated to members of FIT when necessary. The OIT Helpdesk is staffed 24 hours, 5-days per week and is already capable of addressing issues with the majority of our installed desktop applications. For example, questions related to Windows XP, Office and Outlook.

If you have already contacted OIT to resolve your problem, OIT will transfer your problem to Facilities IT. No further action is needed on your part. If you need to contact Facilities IT about an issue that originated with a request to OIT, please be sure to reference the ticket number they assigned you in any correspondence with either OIT or Facilities IT.
