ORFE (The Operations Research and Financial Engineering building)

Project Description

This new building will house The Department of Operations Research and Financial Engineering, a rapidly growing department of the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences.  The building design will optimize energy efficiency by means of a sophisticated exterior wall system, a green roof, and enhanced building system controls for HVAC and lighting.

Sustainability Features

  • High efficiency window glazing and spandrel panels
  • A Lutron auto-dimming lighting system will take advantage of free outdoor light and reduce lighting needs and costs.
  • Extensive (shallow-soil) "green" roof
