The Engineering Department is primarily responsible for campus utilities building infrastructure and environmental compliance throughout the University. Systems internal to campus buildings that the Engineering Department would typically be responsible for include heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, energy control, electrical, fire and security alarms, and lighting. Utilities external to the buildings that the Department is responsible for include high voltage electrical distribution, steam, chilled water, storm and sanitary drainage, campus lighting, and city and fire water.
