Plan Updates
Updates on the status of the Housing Plan components including project scope will continue to be provided here. Please check back frequently for the most current information.
Hibben and Magie Apartments
- Retirement of these buildings from residential use for Faculty and Staff continues as planned with Hibben retired by 9/1/09 and Magie by 6/30/10. Both buildings will provide housing for Graduate Students after these dates.
- Hibben contracts will be extended from 5/31/10 to 6/30/10. The Graduate Housing office will notify the affected graduate students in October and November of 2009 regarding the procedure to extend the contract.
- Magie contracts will be offered to Graduate students on a yearly basis with the last contract year of 7/1/10-5/31/11.
- Relocation and housing expenses assistance to Faculty and Staff residents of Hibben and Magie continues to be provided as planned. For details, currently eligible Faculty and Staff residents should refer to Policy on Relocation and Housing Expense Payments of Leaseholders at Hibben, Magie and Stanworth.
Stanworth Apartments
- Transition of units to eligible Graduate Students will commence June 2011 as planned.
- Refer to the Facilities Information Center>> Living in Stanworth Apartments for detailed information about the complex.
- Relocation and housing expenses assistance to Faculty and Staff residents of Stanworth continues to be provided as planned. For details, currently eligible Faculty and Staff residents should refer to Policy on Relocation and Housing Expense Payments of Leaseholders at Hibben, Magie and Stanworth.
Butler Apartments
- Demolition of Butler Apartments is planned to commence June 2012 as originally planned.
- The goal remains to develop mixed unit types for rental and for sale for Faculty and Staff.
Dean Mathey II
- The construction of a new development (Dean Mathey II) on property adjacent to Dean Mathey has been deferred until after 2017.
