Getting Around Campus

Getting Here
The Visiting Campus page of the Princeton web site provides information on getting to campus.
Campus Maps
A Move In Map has been specially designed to help you navigate your way on campus during Move In weekend. An online Campus Interactive Map is a another helpful resource for finding your way on campus.
Pedestrians and Bicyclists
Many students find that the best way to get around Princeton's 500-acre campus is on foot or by bicycle. There are pedestrian-shared paved paths throughout campus. Students are encouraged to register their bikes with the Department of Public Safety. For a fee the Department of Public Safety will supply you with a U-shaped lock to secure your bike at the bike stands located throughout campus.

The Campus Shuttle
The The TigerTransit transportation shuttle system is a great way to get around campus. Routes and service hours are available on the Princeton Transportation and Parking Services Web site.
The “Dinky” Station
The campus is connected to the New Jersey Transit commuter train system by a connecting line to the Princeton Junction train station. Due to the size of the rail car, the connecting train is referred to as the “Dinky.” You’ll find the Dinky Station just below McCarter Theater Center on the campus map.
