Planning and Packing

The following check list has been compiled to help you plan for your arrival in the Fall. Remember that Princeton Student Agencies (PSA) can supply, for purchase or rental, many of your dorm room decorating needs such as carpeting, lamps, lofts, bookcases, entertainment equipment, and Microfridges (rental only through PSA). Check out their Tent Sale during Move In weekend. The Princeton University Store also sells dorm room furnishings which can be pre-ordered online and picked up at the store when you arrive on campus. The catalog of available merchandise will be published on their web site in mid-July.
Approved Appliances
If you plan to purchase appliances for your room be sure to consult the Authorized Appliance list and refrigerator regulations provided by the Housing Department.
Student Computer Initiative
If you plan to purchase a computer, check out the Student Computer Initiative which provides Princeton students with aggressively priced, highly capable computers to facilitate academic work.
If you plan to ship items to campus, follow the special shipping instructions.
