Hanging A Banner Over McCosh Walk
An efficient, simple, and inexpensive way to advertise an undergraduate student event is to hang a banner over McCosh Walk. Your undergraduate student organization must supply the banner, and Grounds and Landscaping staff will hang the banner for you. The fee for this service is $50.00. Follow the procedure stated here to have your banner hung.
- Request Space Over McCosh Walk
Reserve a space over McCosh Walk by filling out a Banner Request form in person at the Office of the Dean of Undergraduate Students (ODUS) at 313 West College. - Obtain Notification of Acceptance
You will receive an e-mail confirmation from the Office of the Dean of Undergraduate Students (ODUS) when your request has been granted. You organization's project grant number beginning with the digits 541 will be included in the e-mail. - Deliver the Banner and E-Mail Confirmation to the Facilities Customer Service Center
Bring the banner and a copy of the e-mail confirmation at least 24 hours before the banner is to be hung to the Facilities Customer Service Center located in the lobby of the MacMillan Building. A Customer Service Representative will generate a work request for the Grounds and Landscaping Office to hang the banner. - Pick up the Banner
If you plan to reuse the banner, Grounds and Landscaping staff will return it to the Customer Service Center. Be sure to inform Customer Service staff if you plan to pick it up, otherwise it will be thrown away. The banner will hang over McCosh Walk for a total of four days.
