Cleanup Services For Your Event
Event Cleanup
If your indoor site requires a cleaning after the event, Building Services staff will perform all the tasks necessary to put the site back to the condition in which it was found. This may include such things as vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms used for the event, removing any trash or recycling materials left behind, washing entry door glass and table tops. Even if a cleanup is not requested Building Services reserves the right to determine if a cleanup is necessary to meet University standards.
Note: Dining Services and other caterers do not clean.
Requesting a Cleanup
Members of the University community with a GL account number may request a cleanup by contacting Building Services directly at (609) 258-3490 or by submitting a service request. Note: a cleanup will be performed even if not requested when it is determined that it is needed to return the space to back to the condition in which it was found.. Cleanup fees apply. (see below)
Approved external groups may not contact Building Services directly to obtain this service. Instead all such requests will be coordinated by Conference and Event Services.

Fees for Cleanup
The cleanup fee is based on labor costs. Labor fees vary depending on the time of day and day of the week cleanup is required. Many times janitors are required to perform this service during over-time hours, especially for large events, and your fee will reflect this. Overtime is required when janitorial staff must leave their regular assignment to perform these extra duties or if extra cleaning is required to return the space to meet University standards.
Building Services estimates that although cleanup costs vary depending on the location, size and type of event, a typical cleanup costs $75. to $100.
