Sherrerd Hall (Completed 2008)
This new building houses The Department of Operations Research and Financial Engineering, a rapidly growing department of the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, and the Center for Information Technology Policy. The building design optimizes energy efficiency by means of a sophisticated exterior wall system, a green roof, and enhanced building system controls for HVAC and lighting.
- High efficiency window glazing and spandrel panels
- A Lutron auto-dimming lighting system takes advantage of free outdoor light and reduce lighting needs and costs.
- Extensive (shallow-soil) "green" roof
Completed in fall 2008
