Chilled Water Shut Down, Firestone Library and other locations, starting Mar. 18, 6 p.m.
Chilled water serving Firestone Library will be shut down beginning Monday March 18 at 6pm until Wednesday March 20 at 1pm. The shutdown is necessary to complete repairs to piping in the west mechanical room.
Other buildings affected by this chilled water shutdown are:
East Pyne/Chancellor Green [language labs will shut off unused computers. Back up cooling not needed]
Prospect House [cold boxes (refrigerators) will be backed up with city water by HVAC shop]
The following buildings will be offline, but are not actively using chilled water at this time:
Murray Dodge Hall
This work will remove the obsolete check valve and control valve at the building wall. We will also install a new chilled water meter. The evening shutdown will allow time to drain and vent the piping so that work can begin inside the building Tuesday morning. Filling and venting will proceed thru Tuesday night as needed.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding the chilled water shutdown, please contact Scott Sepsy, (609) 258-3934.
