The University is in the process of undertaking fire code improvements in many of the academic and administrative buildings on and off campus. Most of the work is relatively minor, and in many cases simply involves the addition of some new light fixtures or exit signs in corridors and stairwells, or the connection of additional light fixtures in these areas to the emergency generator circuit in the building. As part of the Princeton University Streicker Pedestrian Bridge overpass construction, Washington Road between Faculty Road and Prospect Avenue will be closed at 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 3 and will reopen at 1:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 4.
Beginning Monday October 26 through Friday December 4, 2009, a portion of College Road will be reduced to one lane one-way traffic eastbound to allow for installation of utilities and resurfacing of the road.
All vehicles travelling westbound on College Road toward Springdale Road will be detoured along Alexander Road to Mercer Street.
All vehicles travelling eastbound from Springdale Road toward Alexander Road will be allowed to travel one lane one-way eastbound.

A chilled water shutdown beginning today will affect several buildings on the upper campus including Nassau Hall, Hamilton Hall, Stanhope Hall, West College
Alexander Hall, Madison Hall, Holder Hall, Joline Hall, and MacLean House. It is expected that building occupants will not be affected.
