Electrical power will be interrupted in a large portion of the Carl Icahn Laboratory on Saturday May 8 from 6 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. as part of a planned maintenance program. During this time regular power will be shutdown to a portion of the building and limited power will be provided through the emergency generator. The power at Jadwin Gym will be shutdown for a short period of time on Tuesday morning, April 27, from 6 to 6:30 a.m. The shutdown is necessary as work progresses on the mobile generator connection project. As part of the Princeton University Streicker Pedestrian Bridge overpass construction project, the access road located off Washington Road which connects to the Jadwin Hall loading dock and Jadwin Gym will be closed for a period of one month. The closure will begin on Monday, April 26 and will continue until Friday, May 21. During this period all deliveries and traffic will be directed to Stadium Drive, located off Ivy Lane. Construction has begun on state-of-the-art facilities for neuroscience and psychology. The buildings will be located south of Icahn Laboratory and west of Washington Road and are expected to be completed by 2013.
A section of sidewalk south of Brown and Cuyler Halls will be closed to accomodate steam tunnel work for a period of two to three weeks beginning April 6. Detour signs will be posted to direct pedestrians around the construction area. Work should be completed on or about April 28. Update: Hot water was restored to Bloomberg Hall at 11:30 a.m. All repairs have been completed. The steam main at Bloomberg Hall will be shutdown today at 10 a.m. to repair a safety regulator. The work is anticipated to last no more than two hours. During that time residents of Bloomberg Hall will be without hot water. We apologize for any inconvenience.
