Each year we ask all departments to assist The Facilities Organization's Building Services Department by curtailing requests for moving services during one of our busiest times of the year as we prepare for student move in and during the move in period. All Butler units, with the exception of three units which sustained significant damage, may now be occupied. Residents who were given temporary housing are asked to return temporary housing keys and fobs to the Housing Office in the MacMillan Building during regular business hours.

Residents of Butler Apartments, with the exception of residents of a few select units, may begin returning to their apartments this afternoon, Tuesday August 17. Power has been restored to the area as the University continues to clear downed trees and power lines around the Butler Apartments.

PSE&G reports that power has been restored to the Hibben and Magie Apartments. Please allow about two hours for the hot water and cooling systems as well as the elevator to be operational. These systems take some time to restart.
PSE&G continues to work to restore power in the Dean Mathey and Butler housing complexes.

Update: 9:30 p.m.
Because of severe storms that moved through the area Monday, August 16, Faculty Road between Washington Road and Harrison Street remains closed, and is expected to be closed throughout the morning of Tuesday, August 17. Because of downed tree limbs and power lines, faculty, staff and students that typically arrive on campus via Faculty Road and Washington Road should plan alternate routes.
