Dormitory Emergency Lighting Testing, 8/17- 8/26
The Office of Design and Construction will be conducting a series of emergency lighting tests in several dormitories during the month of August. These tests will require a shutdown of the main electrial power to each building during the testing period. This means there will be no power during this period except for that equipment which is currently wired to the emergency panels. It is important to note this will occur during working hours, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. The duration of each power outage cannot yet be predicted because the size of the building and the number of fixtures in each will be a governing factor. Power will be restored as soon as a building is completed.
