Power Fluctuations and Usage During Extreme Heat Conditions
While the University has prepared as much as possible to weather power outages and fluctuations, we are still vulnerable to events that occur on the electrical grid supplying the region. Given the extreme heat this summer, faculty and staff should be aware that our electrical power supply could experience voltage fluctuations and possibly outages. Additionally, our energy costs during these peak usage hours will be extremely high. Any non-essential loads that can be turned off will make a difference.
Thank you for your help and patience during this period of extreme heat. Questions and power related problems should be directed to the Facilities Service Center.
