Dining Services Opens New Cafe in Frick Chemistry Laboratory
Princeton University Dining Services has opened a new café in Princeton's state-of-the-art Frick Chemistry Laboratory. Called "Chemistry CaFe," the logo for the new café is made up from the chemical symbols for the elements calcium and iron. The new café offers delicious food and comfortable seating in the atrium and outdoor seating overlooking the natural areas surrounding the building.
Open to all members of the Princeton University community and their guests, Chemistry CaFe offers continental style breakfast from 8 a.m. including Small World Roasters coffee, Tazo® teas, juices, fruit, cereal, fresh croissants, and muffins. Lunches include hot entrees and a wide selection of sandwiches and salads in a convenient Grab-n-Go area. There is a nice selection of deserts, as well as special butterfly-themed treats only available at the café.
"We have been working on this for the past 2 1/2 years and now that we have the café operational, I can't help but feel proud of what we have accomplished and think towards the future," said Executive Chef Rob Harbison. "I can not imagine a better venue to enjoy some of our delicious, fresh-made food. This location has a unique mix of customers -- it includes our friends in the Chemistry Department, Athletics, even folks from the Icahn laboratories. By focusing on what we do best -- fresh, nutritious food -- we have brought a great dining experience to a uniquely beautiful venue here on the Princeton campus."
Chemistry CaFe is open Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. They accept American currency, Paw Points, Student Charge,TowerCards, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. See the Princeton Dining Services website for special menu items, directions and hours during break periods.
