Update: October 31, 2011, 10 a.m.

PSEG reports that power has been restored to the Stanworth Apartments. Heat, electric and detectors should now be fully functional. Should your CO or smoke detector continue to beep please contact the Facilities Service Center to report the problem. We encourage you to carefully inspect food contained in your refrigerator and freezer during the outage. The USDA provides guidelines for discarding food after a power outage.

Update, October 30, 2011, 6:45 p.m.

• PSEG has updated their estimate for restoring power at Stanworth.  Power is now expected to be restored by Monday, October 31, 2011, at 11:00 p.m.
• Portable generators are in place at Stanworth to sustain the central fire alarm system.
• Generators have also been connected to the domestic hot water system, so residents should have hot water beginning approximately 7:00 p.m. Sunday (unfortunately, the heating system cannot be activated with portable generators).
• The limited shelter for Stanworth residents in the Dillon Gym is open.  Showers, a heated gathering space , and a sleeping area with cots and linens will be available, but meals will not be provided.

 Power is out at the Stanworth Apartments.  PSEG is working on this outage, but has reported that power may not be restored until Wednesday, November 2.  Princeton University is opening a limited shelter for Stanworth residents in the Dillon Gym, which will open at 1:00 PM Sunday.  Showers, a heated gathering space , and a sleeping area with cots and linens will be available, but meals will not be provided.  We apologize for this inconvenience.  Updates will be available at http://www.princeton.edu/facilities/info/ .
