Chilled Water Shutdown, Mon. Jan. 30- Sat. Feb. 4, Select Campus Locations
The Facilities Organization's Department of Engineering is planning a shutdown of the primary chilled water system for maintenance and repair. The shutdown will begin Monday January 30 at 12:01 a.m. and continue until Saturday, February 4 at 11:59 p.m. The following buildings will be without chilled water for the entire duration:
- Mudd Library
- Fields Center
- Engineering Quadrangle
- Energy Research
- Von Neumann
- Bowen Hall
In winter chilled water is primarily used for the cooling of equipment. Affected buildings have been provided a backup source of cooling if needed.
