Requesting A Loaner Card
Loaner cards act as a “key” to an electronically secured area and are used by people who are not eligible for a TigerCard or a Contractor/Visitor Badge.

Please follow these guidelines to request this service.
- Who is Authorized to Request this Service
Only BACs/DAFs, each of whom possess different clearance code granting privileges, are authorized to make the request. - To Find Your BAC or DAF

This service is available 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
After hours last minute requests can not be fulfilled. - Loaner Card Request Form
BACs and DAFs may request a loaner card and the appropriate clearance codes by submitting a loaner request form. Only BACs and DAFs are authorized to view and submit this form.
Information Needed to Request this Service
When submitting a request for a loaner card using the loaner card request form the folowing information is needed:
- Reason for request
- Project Grant Number
- Clearance Codes to be assigned
Response Time
Initial approval or denial will occur within 3 business days.
Limitations
All loaner cards expire June 30 of the current fiscal year and a new card must be requested on an annual basis. Non-picture cards will not be used for visitors scheduled to require access for longer than 14 days. Loaner cards will be valid for a 14 day period. At the end of that time a written extension request must be submitted to bacdafs@.
Communications Follow-Up
An e-mail is sent at each step of the process. Loaner cards must be picked up at the TigerCard Office on the 3rd floor of New South; they will not be sent through the mail.
Charges
The fee for this service is $15 per card. A Project/grant number must be provided at the time the request is submitted.
Service Restrictions
The requester of the Loaner Card is responsible for the use of the card and keeping records of whoever has possession of the card. Lost or stolen cards must be reported immediately to Public Safety.
