CACS
Repairing a Malfunctioning Door, Lock, or Reader
Facilities will repair a CACS door/lock/reader once it has been reported as malfunctioning.

Any community member may request this service.
- When This Service Is Available
Academic year: 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday
Summer: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday
Year-round: On-call service is available for emergencies only

During regular business hours, Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m,
contact the Facilities Customer Service, (609) 258-8000, or submit an online work request.
After business hours for last-minute needs call Public Safety at (609) 258-1000.

Detailed statement of the problem.
Note: If the door will not close or lock, Facilities will request a Directed Patrol.
Response Time
For problem doors through which there is a compelling need for immediate access and no reasonable alternative access possibilities, Public Safety will respond as soon as possible and grant access. They will contact the appropriate Grounds and Building Maintenance staff.
In situations where there is alternative access, Public Safety will respond and grant access as soon as possible. They will complete an online work request for repair; Grounds and Building Maintenance will respond the next business day.
Limitations To Service
Hard-to-repair doors or doors needing parts that are not on hand may require more than one business day to repair. In that case, the door will be secured by an alternative method before the end of the business day in which the malfunction is reported.
Communications Follow-Up
An e-mail response will be sent to a customer when a work order is completed, assuming the customer's name appears on the work order.
Charges
There is no fee for this service.
Service Restrictions
Interior door repairs may require that an authorized occupant of the building is available to accompany the repair person.
