Fencing For Your Outdoor Event
Outdoor events may require fencing to block off an area, or to construct an entranceway or back stage area. There are many types of fencing available for this purpose. Fencing types, costs, as well as the method of ordering are contained here.
Fencing Types
There are many types of fencing available. The two most popular types are discussed here with provision for ordering other types as needed.
- White Picket Fence
White fencing, a more decorative type of fencing, is prefabricated and is available in 6 foot sections. - Construction Fence
Orange or green mesh construction fence is typically used in construction areas around campus. - Other Fencing Types
Depending on your event, another type of fencing might be more suitable. Our staff will work with you to find the fencing that best suits your needs.
Requesting Fencing
Because there is such a large variety of fencing you are asked to contact our Grounds and Building Maintenance experts who will guide you in selecting the best fencing for your event. They in turn will place a work request for you.

Fees For Service
Fees for this service vary according to the fencing material used.
- White Picket Fence
The fee for for delivery and removal of this fencing is $12.00 per section. - Construction fence
Your fee is the labor required to setup and take down this fencing. Consult tradesperson labor rates for details. - Other Fencing
The fee will depend on the type of fencing used. Our staff will discuss fees with you.
