Dorm Room Key Replacement
Most dormitory room doors in residential colleges, upperclassmen dormitories and at the graduate college are secured by a key given to each resident at check-in. We recommend that all students lock their doors. You will be required to return a room key at Move Out.
To Replace A Dorm Room Key
If you should loose or misplace your room key, or if your key is stolen, please report the loss to the Housing Department. You will be issued a temporary replacement key for a period of 10 days. If after 10 days your key has not been found, for security reasons the lock on your door will be changed by University locksmiths.
Fee Schedule
A lock change is a fixed charge service, charged to the appropriate student account through the Office of the Treasury. In multi-resident rooms only the individual who has lost the key will be charged for the lock change.
