Routine Pest Management Services
Western Pest Services, a state certified pest management company has been contracted by the University to perform routine pest control services. Academic and administrative buildings receive monthly or more frequent service to reduce or eliminate insect and rodent activity. Pest management services include inspection, monitoring, and if necessary, abatement measures. In addition, a Western Pest Services technician is on campus during weekday business hours and performs pest control services as the need arises.
To Request Pest Management Service
Contact the Facilities Service Center or submit an online work request. Please specify the following information:
- Building/apartment name
- Room/apartment number
- Description of problem
Animal Control and Bats in University Buildings
While rare, occasionally mammals such as raccoons, possums, ground hogs, skunks, bats etc. are found inside or near to residential areas of campus. A specific protocol has been established for the safe removal of bats and live animals. In such occurances avoid contact and report the situation immediately.

Contact Public Safety directly at (609) 258-1000 who will in turn report the information to Princeton Boro Animal Control.
Bed bug Prevention and Detection
As bed bugs continue to become a problem in the United States, residents are urged to report any suspicion of bed bugs to the Facilities Service Center. Important components of pest control are strategies for prevention and detection. A specific and effective protocol exists for the treatment of bed bugs.
