Carl A Fields Center
To be a leader in today's world, developing a strong foundation in the principles of equality and cultural understanding is critical. This foundation allows one to recognize and combat that which erodes society while working to build and promote all that nurtures healthy communities.
The Carl A. Fields Center for Equality and Cultural Understanding provides Princeton University students with ample opportunities to connect their chosen fields of study with practical applications by challenging them to encounter people, resources and experiences that are different from that which they are accustomed. Whether through a break-week trip, a dialogue group or a cultural event, the Fields Center's abundant activities encourage students to have life-altering, fun and interesting experiences, which also help them develop core competencies.
Through immersion in the four pillars of empowerment, leadership, social justice and understanding, we expect students and others who regularly interact with the Fields Center to emerge equipped with the necessary skills to contribute successfully to the betterment of humankind.
