People + Affiliated Groups
The work of the Field Center is so critical that many on- and off-campus groups partner with us to achieve specific goals. Whether through organizations or individual efforts, we share a strong sense of community and purpose.
Individuals
All members of the campus community and alumni are invited to participate in training, social events, cultural and other programs. The Fields Center also serves as home to Community House, which organizes numerous activities for our campus neighbors. Participants benefit from the contributions of individuals who serve as volunteers, interns and fellows. Each year, the Fields Center also serves as home to at least one activist, artist and scholar in residence.
Groups
The Fields Center has groups that oversee the center and its vision, that participate in activities that contribute to the betterment of Princeton, that contribute to our surrounding community, national and international efforts and that help serve students in their academic pursuits.
The Fields Center is run by its staff, a student governance board, the Diversity Council, which is a student advisory board, and a community advisory board. These groups benefit from the work of faculty, student, community and visiting fellows.
Student organizations and campus employee resource groups rely upon Fields Center resources when working on specific campus issues. Student partners include the Princeton University Mentoring Program, Sustained Dialogue, nearly all student multicultural organizations and others. Additional campus partners include the Chinese Community at Princeton University, the International Group, the LGBT Center and the Princetonians of Color Network. Many other Princeton centers also serve as partners including the Center for Jewish Life, the Davis International Center, the Frist Campus Center, the Office of Religious Life and the Women’s Center.
Community partners include the Princeton Prize in Race Relations and the YWCA's Stand Up Against Racism.
