Working with Scholars, Activists + Artists in Residence
The Fields Center brings accomplished professionals from around the world to campus to share their expertise with the campus community in a year-long experience. The residences include an Artist in Residence, a Scholar in Residence and an Activist in Residence. The goal of these residencies is to deepen the understanding and appreciation of diverse cultures through exploring traditions, promoting intellectual inquiry and encouraging cultural exchange. This program allows students, faculty and staff to interact with these talented leaders in formal and informal settings. Each year's program is tailored to the expert's priorities and interests. Usually, the honoree offers students multiple opportunities for learning and networking. Those in residence may also participate in classroom settings, lead discussions, give lectures or host presentations.
