Anthony Grafton studies the intellectual history of early modern Europe. He takes a special interest in the ways in which early modern scholars read and interpreted ancient texts, in the history of publishing and in the history of science. With Glenn Most and Salvatore Settis, he is the editor of The Classical Tradition, a new reference book; with Joanna Weinberg, he is the author of "I Have Always Loved the Holy Tongue": Isaac Casaubon, the Jews, and a Forgotten Chapter in Renaissance Scholarship. Both are forthcoming from Harvard University Press.
