Sending mail to students
Student Addressing
Mail Services Department encourages students to provide their Frist mailing address to known senders i.e. parents, friends, banks, publishers, etc. The correct address format for students to receive mail at their Frist Campus Center mailbox is:
Student's name
Mailbox # Frist Center
Princeton, NJ 08544
All USPS first class mail, standard mail, and packages/parcels should use this address format as it is intended to be compatible with the USPS automation machine capabilities, which means mail, will not be manually handled until it reaches the university if the proper address format is used for first class mail.
Find your student's mailing address at http://www.princeton.edu/mail/FristMailroom/.
Questions about the mail policy? Please call 609-258-1352 or email dbalitz@princeton.edu.
Overnight Carriers
Overnight carriers will have access to dormitories for parcel deliveries addressed to students residing in dormitories. If the student is not in their room to receive the package it will be taken to Frist Campus Center. This is a continuation of a service provided by overnight cariers. Mail Services forsees this type of service being eliminated in the future, security for one reason, and Mail Services wants to encourage the usage of the Frist mailing address to expedite mail delivery. The College Offices will not accept deliveries for students.
Mail Services Department does not guarentee the delivery times that overnight carriers provide. If an overnight letter or parcel is delivered to Mail Services Department, the student will be notified via e-mail to pickup the letter or package.
