Forbes College

The College Office is staffed by the College Master who oversees the life of the college. He or she sets the intellectual tone for the college, fosters its spirit, and organizes activities that enrich student life and broaden the students' educational experiences; the Dean, responsible for general oversight of academic affairs and student life; a Director of Studies, responsible for academic advising and programming; a Director of Student Life who oversees the Residential College Advisers and general social and disciplinary matters; a College Administrator who supervises the budget and oversees college programs; and a college secretary who assists the Dean, DOS & DSL. The office is located directly below the dining hall. We encourage students to stop in and say hi and grab some candy!

Forbes students also draw support and advice from a loyal group of faculty advisers (AB & BSE) and fellows, as well as peer advisers. Visiting faculty members, non-academic staff fellows, and building and dining service personnel are all integral parts of Forbes. Nine graduate students also reside in Forbes and enrich the intellectual and social fabric of the College.

Two other groups of people, dining services and the custodial staff, play a major part in keeping Forbes running and make it a welcoming place for students.
