David Carter joined Princeton in 2011 and is excited to begin advising students at Forbes. He has a Ph.D. in political science from the University of Rochester, with expertise in international conflict and political violence. He teaches the Introduction to International Relations course for the Politics Department as well as several smaller seminars an lecture courses on topics such as territorial conflict and terrorism and insurgency. In his courses, he draws from political science, history, and current events and tries to share the puzzles posed and key results in his own related research with students.
