I’m from Winter Park, Florida. While my concentration is in philosophy, I am interested in value-related questions that come up in any academic discipline. Outside the classroom, I am a proud brother of Alpha Epsilon Pi, a Tiger Inn member, a debate coach for a high school in Texas, a member of Giving What We Can, a fellow of the Human Values Forum, an anti-nuclear-weapons activist, a research assistant for a Rutgers professor, a drummer, an avid recreational weightlifter, and a two-time small-bracket champion of the Dodgeball Tournament. My favorite color is green; my favorite movie is Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back; my favorite book is The Lord of the Rings; my favorite band is Phish, although my three favorite songs are “Franklin’s Tower,” “Friend of the Devil,” and “Brown-Eyed Women,” all by the Grateful Dead; my favorite beer is Terrapin Pale Ale; my favorite muscle is the trapezius; my favorite food is tuna fish; my favorite poem is "Ozymandias"; and my favorite painting is The Garden of Earthly Delights.
Best time to reach me: Email me whenever you have a question about philosophy or anything else I might be able to help with. I will either meet with you in person or respond via email or phone.
