The Gardens at Forbes
Forbes College plays an integral role in fostering sustainability and food awareness on campus through the Princeton Garden Project, a student initiative of the Office of Sustainability, that is located at Forbes.
Get involved on a regular basis, attend our events (alfresco dining, Nomad Pizza, lectures), or spend an hour or so helping out when you have the time.
Check out the garden blog at http://princetongardenproject.wordpress.com/.
With a large demonstration garden on site next to the Forbes' masters house (79 Alexander) and then a smaller plot and greenhouse along the Forbes addition, the Garden Project aims to cultivate a passion for sustainably produced food at Princeton and to provide the knowledge necessary for students to make informed food choices. It provides fresh, student-grown produce to the Forbes dining hall and offers a host of events from lectures to harvest dinners to outdoor movie screenings. Anyone is welcome to join in on workdays, morning harvests, and other events!
